See below for more details... HOWLIN' DOWLIN Formed in the summer of 2008, Howlin'Dowlin' are a four-piece guitar band playing a unique rock n'roll sound bursting with originality! Springing from the slums of Dublin City this band are not to be snuffed at with classic pop songs "A Stitch In Time..." and "Knew I Had It Comin" sure to be an enjoyable listen. The band is fronted by Bren Dempsey, accompanied by Vinny Duggan (ex-things) on guitar/vocals, Staf (House Of Dolls) on bass/vocals and Jimmy Cullen (also ex-things) on drums/vocals-this band are not to be taken with a pinch of salt...WATCH THIS SPACE!!! www.myspace.com/howlindowlin1 DISTRACTORS Distractors began life in late 2006. Their debut single 'Last Stand' followed in early 2007 garnering them many admirers in their hometown and numerous playlists on Irelands airwaves. The following year saw an invitation to SXSW, a support slot with The Rumble Strips and second single 'Conversation Killer' which was re-released this year alongside three other songs as 'Manly with a Stanley EP'. In the last year alone they have supported Cold War Kids, Tokyo Police Club, toured with The Charlatans and Inner City Pirates as well as recording radio sessions for RTE and BBC Radio, and being playlisted on XFM. As recent as July 2009, Distractors made their first appearence at Irelands OXEGEN Festival, where they played the IMRO stage. They are currently in pre-production for their debut album which is set for release Autumn 2009. www.myspace.com/distractormusic AUTOBAN Post-punk power trio Autoban combine bundles of guitar-hookery with punchy rhythms, sandpaper vocals and stiletto-sharp lyrics for an altogether danceable experience.
