Ooh I think it looks fantastic. I don't really understand why it's so disliked. Sure it's not a traditional Porsche but c'mon you have to evolve or die.

No word on whether the rental agreement explicitly prohibits visits to a certain race track in the Eiffel mountains...
At €189 per day, it think we can assume it does...

Shame, for four people it would make for an alright car to take around the ring

I think that white one is a turbo or something so an S or a 4S as mentioned in the piece would probably look worse than that...

Like this actually

Just because they say you cannot go to the ring... does not mean you can't just go anyway

Its a public road and it really only becomes an issue with rentals if you crash it or destroy the tyres and brakes. A leisurely drive around and maybe 180 down the main straight would not be out of the question

It sort of does mean you can't go if they say so, because Avis employ spotters at the ring and you would find your collision damage insurance from the rental voided quite quickly, and also a hefty bill for several thousand for new brakes and tyres. They have done that before for rental 911s.

Agreed... but if you just take it for a regular spin around then no damage done to the brakes or tyres I would just want to get it to the max on the straights.... no need for brakes or side walling the tyres.

We have taken rentals to the ring and no issues because we didn't wreck them - but saying that, few of the lads did get some pictures sent to them - they looked well on the fire place.

Think these days though they have tightened right up. Not in mood though for talking about the ring today though as 3 cars leaving tonight for the roadtrip and I ain't going
