A Dodo skeleton which was hidden away from the public for more than 40 years went on display yesterday.
The remains of the extinct bird from the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius are on show at the World Museum Liverpool in the UK.
They were kept under lock and key after the city was heavily bombed in World War II.
The skeleton is a composite of remains found in Mauritius, and has been in the museum's collection since 1866.
