Workout/Running Music

Didn't know if I should post this here or the music forum.

Looking for some recommendations on some good heavy/consistent beat music that people listen to when running or working out.

I have a playlist but it's getting pretty tired by this stage, would like to listen to some new music.

Here is an example of the songs in my playlist.

I can't listen to that playlist in work so I can't tell what type of music it is. I always listen to dance music when in the gym, not like the crap you usually hear over the speakers, but good dance music

Not sure if that's what you're looking for but if it is I can recommend endless amounts of the stuff!

I actually don't mind what genre of music it is, whether it be trance, metal, rock... as long as it has a heavy consistent beat.

Recommend me some songs and I'll have a listen to them.

Ok well this is an old one but it's got a brilliant beat all the way through;

Keeping with the Underworld theme;

For something not so dance orientated but still with a great beat;

Another one with a great not-strictly-dancey beat;

Try those out and see what you think.

Try to figure the average amount of steps you take per minute when running.

Now find songs you like with a similar amount of beats per minute. You can do this by counting "1, 2, 3, 4" in time with the music or just googling a popular song (e.g. <"Enter Sandman" beats per minute>).

As you run try to keep in time with the music --> take a step on each beat.

Arange your playlist to start off slowly and gradually get faster. You won't notice the gradual increase if you work it right over say 10 songs of 3 to 4 minutes each.

It may take a bit of setup but can be fun.

wow,

I just hit random, out of about 50 songs, and every now and again I hit a good beat that coincides with a high intensity session,

i find daft punk are good for consistant beats

Dave Pearce trance anthems 2009 and gatecrasher anthems:1993-2009 are 2 good quality albums and the songs run into each other too so there is no gap beteen songs and the beat is consinstant for all the songs
