What games do you play?

Although I know it's been done before, but seeing as the population of boards is constantly changing, I'll throw up a new one.

I've played Kotor I & II and enjoyed them both immensely.
Rogue Squadron is one of my favorite games ever, although I haven't played it for a couple of years.

Star Wars Supremacy(or Rebellion if you have the US version) was a great game, but after checking it out recently, it really has aged poorly.

I played Dark Forces as a child and remember it fondly, but I can't imagine it's up to much now.

As a young child I played a Star Wars platform game, that played out a new hope. Sadly I'm lost for the name, anyone have any ideas?

I own Unleashed, but haven't gotten to play it yet.

For the last 3 years I've been playing Star Wars Combine, a very deep, yet limited, browser based MMO. Not for everyone, but I'm sure the die hard's would like it.

What's your past experience with SW games?

I loved rouge squadron. Haven’t played it in a long time. Unleashed is good, gets a bit repetitive but I find most games these days do.

I used to play Star Wars Galaxies, was my favorite game ever, absolutely loved it until they changed it to the 1st person view and kind of moved away from the MMO.

?? When did Galaxies do this?? I played Galaxies myself up to about 4 months ago and it was always 3rd person, and very MMORPG orientated. I find Galaxies did have major failings as a piece of software, but as an MMORPG it was amazing. The economies, community, pretty much everything was in the hands of the players. A true MMORPG, not just a linear MMO where you go from A to B with other players, like many of the MMORPGs out there at the moment.

Force Unleashed was a good game but very short. And despite the ravvings about the storyline, I thought the plot was a bit weak, and the main character didn't do justice to what he could have been. Vader's apprentice. More powerful than the Dark Lord himself. Pssh, someone who falls under both of those categories shouldn't have been an EMO

Battlefront is a good game it has to be said, while Jedi Outcast II was revolutionary imho. Waaay ahead of its time in many respects.

Revenge of the Sith wasn't bad on the PS2 for a "I finished it in four hours" movie titles for kids of all ages. The duel mode in it gave it that bit of replayability that Unleashed lacks big time.

Trust me it was a lot better years ago, before the NGE was introduced. Im talking over a year ago maybe more. I know its still MMORPG but the change in the way your charater looks and also dont you have to keep clicking the mouse button or space bar etc to shoot. It used to be turnbased like WoW, you right click attack and add in your special attacks etc. Also you couldn't just start as a Jedi, you had to unlock the Jedi charater by doing specific tasks and quests and you didnt know what they all were. So there were only a few Jedi in the game. They then changed it to a system where you were told all the tasks you had to do and you had to go to a village and do a lot of tasks to unlock teh Jedi tree, no you can just choose to be a Jedi.

It was my favourite game when it was 1st released, was so annoyed when they changed it.

I remember when they 1st changed it there were protests in the major cities in the game, lol, it didnt help they kept the changes.

Look up on youtube for videos of SWG pre NGE, even pre the space expansion.

I agree about Unleased, way too short. They could have done so much more with it.

kotor ofcoarse

tie fighter was the best star wars game till kotor took over

em the force unleashed was a great idea but what a terrible game - no options to change controlls and it had terrible options and ingame combat was woefull - noi option to change the view - worst sw game ive plaed and in my top 5 of most dissapointing games of all time

rogue squadren on n64 was ok same with that pod racer game

Lol. Maybe I should have mentioned that my toon is an Elder Jedi. I know the NGE story. And I agree that it's not great that you can just start as a Jedi, but the mechanics of the game, and the way it is so community and player driven, are just as good. Sure it's not great that there are hundreds of Jedi about at an era when there should be only a handful, and well hidden at that, but the game didn't suffer much outside of that decision. The gameplay is pretty similiar. And that's of a timeline conflict than anything else. But regardless, the game certainly isn't 1st person now, don't know where you got that from...

(ps. and WoW isn't turn based)

I played it on the SNES, but I don't know the name of it.
I was only a child but on reflection I remember it as being great.
Can anyone shed any insight on it's name?

I loved KOTOR 1, my jeep is now called Revan i'm annoyed the old republic isn't coming out on consoles- my computer is too crap to play games
Also Battlefront 1 and 2, they be me and my friends drinking games Nothing betters Galactic Conquest. I'm so annoyed about number 3- it was finished!!!!! And stupid Free Radical (who would have made battlefront even more amazing!) had to go out of business and stupid Lucas arts had to leave the project in limbo.....
I now feel angry....

I could swear that I saw an add on TV today for Battlefront 3, or maybe my mind was just playing tricks on me again?

I swear my stomach jumped when i read that but i checked it up and it's still without a developer It sucks, footage was actually leaked online a week before Free Radical went belly up (taking with them Timesplitters 4 too!)
You might have seen an ad for the new clone wars game, it's alright, nothing amazing though sadly
