chevrolet lancetti & Citroen C3

Hey guys, was just wondering does anyone have any experience with these cars, say from 2004-2005 dates? Manual. I don't know anyone that owns one (!) ((that could be a bad sign so I thought I'd ask before I buy either!)). Cheers

I'd pick the C3 over the Chevrolet (Daewoo) any day.

I'm not a fan of either really, but the Lacetti isn't as bad as other Dawoo/Chevrolet efforts. Still, there are much better options for your money...much much better...

Obviously its got to be the C3 (between these two, but as EPM said, theres better out there!)

However I love the look (from the outside) of the hatchback Lacetti. There is black one in neighbourhood and I walk past it everyday. I keep thinking it looks great! but then I feel disappointed that it has a crap engine, crap suspension, tacky interior, and outclassed by its similarly priced rivals in all other departments that you would judge a car on!

I completely agree, the exterior of the Lacetti is eye-catching.. I always take a second glance at them but soon realise what I am really looking at

Thanks folks, you've confirmed what I was worried about and have suitably put me off altogether!

I'm now looking at Toyota Aygo. Seems good value for cash- the only thing that is annoying me is that it seems to be branded a 'city car' whereas I will be mostly on country roads/motorway...little bit of town/city driving only. I'm worried 1.0l will be a little too weak.

The 1.0 litre seems to be really really good on fuel- c. 60mpg, but what if I was to upgrade to a 1.2 litre engine? What are my options there with the aygo or similar cheap to run car?

There is almost too much choice of cars out there

Ignore that one.

I had a Citroen C1 (same car, different badge) for a year. In that year I done alot of driving, between Dublin, Wexford and Waterford. It may only be a 1.0 engine, but with 75bhp and the weight of a shopping trolley, its well able for 120kmh +. Its only downfall is its prone to the odd wobble in high wind and this speed.

68bhp is claimed. 3 cylinder unit is a bit "buzzy and busy".
