West Limerick Vintage & Family Fun Day Sep. 6th

West Limerick Vintage Club will be holding our Vintage & Family Fun Day at 'The Thatch Bar', Newbridge, Askeaton, Co.Limerick on Sunday, September 6th.

This will be our second Vintage Day and last years event was a huge success with over 200 exhibitors (cars, tractors, motorbikes, commercials, 4 x 4's, stationary engines) and anyone with a classic or vintage vehicle is very welcome to attend.

All exhibitors will recieve free entry, free refreshments (tea, coffee, sandwiches, cake) and a commemorative brass plaque. We will have vintage cars, tractors, motorbikes, stationary engines, thrashing, baling, rock breaking, horse shoeing, mini-digger duck dipping, bouncy castles, sumo wrestling, face painting, hay making with horses, working engines, food, trade stalls, model farms, red cross display, pet farm and more. Entry to the public is only €10 for a family or €5 each. Children U16 are free when accompanied by an adult. All kids activities (bouncy castles etc.) are free upon entry.

All proceeds will go to local charities (last year we donated €1000 to Milford Hospice and €1000 to St.Ita's Hospital) and more info. can be found on our website www.westlimerickvintageclub.com or on 087-7608486.

Damp start, lots of straw, good turnout. It's amazing the stuff that's hidden away in garages up and down the country!

Had the car out ready to go yesterday morning and the weather was absolutely horrible here so chickened out.
