Proper spy shots of the car have already appeared. I created a thread on them last month: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...p?t=2055618841

Mush of it can be guessed anyway from the 5 series GT.

That must be the reason why it's my favourite. I think it's the neatest and most proportioned design of them all.

+1

I like the last and the third one out of those myself - but still would prefer an A6, or maybe that upcoming A5 coupe or Passat CC I think

Just wondering, but do other people here think that most of the BMW line up are some of the ugliest cars on the road.

The new 7 series is awful. Completely bland. I never thought I'd say it but I prefer the old one.

The 5 series above looks awful (all variants). The 3 series saloon and the 1 series too are terrible.

The only standouts are the 3 series Coupe (a stunner IMO) and the 6 series, although this is now becoming dated. Jury's still out on the new Z4.

Totally agree, I really like the 5, but gone are the days of lusting after BMW's for me. For me it was not only the exterior design that lost me, but the interior design when they moved away from the wraparound dash. I'd go for a nice E39 or e38, maybe at a push an E60.

I kinda like the current 5 series. The pictures above of the 5 series replacement look horrendous though.

Very much so. It's as if they're deliberately trying to be ugly. The grille on the new 7 Series looks absolutely dreadful!

I think the new Z4 is very nice looking though. I just can't get over how heavy it is for a roadster at around 1.5 tonnes.

Correct, beyond the 3 coupe/convertible and 6 series (not the X6) are the only cars worth looking at.

I've got the E39, had the E34 and I wouldn't buy a E60/E61.

The 3 series hasn't been worth looking at since the E30.

Actually, you know what, I'll make an exception for both the X5 and the X6. I don't mind either of them. I really like the X5 in fact.

The X1 and the X3 on the other hand are shocking.
