Decent football, but no goals. Our strikers don't seem to be lucky at the moment: 15 shots on target but none got in. Went to see the game in Oss at -4 degrees with a sharp freezing wind. What we do to support our boys sometimes is crazy. But we're Eagles.

Fairly large stadium but no visitors (Oss 1250 vs GAE 75 fans). Would like to see Deventer put up some money for expansion of De Adelaarshorst, we have more than 4000 fans every game and if Oss can do such a thing... why shouldn't we?

De Graafschap is now at 4 points, and they've played one match less. So there's still a small chance to win the championship. And if we don't succeed in that mission we still have a big chance because our team to my opinion is better than most teams who play against demotion in Eredivisie.

Match was suspended due to snowfall >10 cm. Friday's match might be too, it freezes out here so the snow didn't melt yet. Too bad, our boys are fit as hell... ready to give some punishment to Den Bosch and ##olle, I hate both clubs

Recently listed Donny de Groot (he came over from Australia in January) scored his first goal; a penalty kick in 1st half.

Comfortable win, but the match costed us our field. Completely destroyed due to bad weather circumstances and KNVB wanting to play as soon as possible. Bad football, freezing weather; it had nothing to do with pleasure. The only smile I had was after 90 minutes; knowing that our boys won and that my girlfriend would be waiting for me to get me warm. Fortunately not with just a chocolate milk ;-)

Great news for some of our players:

Juul Reimerink was awarded twice; biggest talent in Jupiler League and best player of the 3rd periode. Biggest reward for him is that he's been scouted for our national team U23 (espoirs).

Maikel Kieftenbeld is also selected for our national team U23 (espoirs).

Halil Colak is in Turkey now, he´s playing a tournament with Turkey national team U23 (espoirs).

Not bad for a team in Jupiler League!!!

Although a 0-0 draw often is boring, the latest match wasn't. Both teams played attractive football (a lot of GAE-players have injuries at the moment so the average age of our team is below 23 years old), we got lucky a few times and so did MVV.

No real harm done; we're ranked 2nd at the moment so our life's still good.

Fridays we play FC Dordrecht at De Adelaarshorst; we have to win to keep on pushing De Graafschap to make mistakes. They're ranked #1 at the moment; but their team isn't very much better than our Eagles.

Lateron this season we play De Graafschap in an away game so we still have a faitly big chance. And we're in playoffs, so no worries.

The top of the table is really hard to calculate with all thge games in hand,but I think our second place is a fair reflection. De Graafschap are putting the foot down at this stage and look likely winners. Average age of 23 is phenomenal and good news for the next few years.

Still think we have a fairly big chance, based on us playing better football. De Graafschap has players with more value; but people who visit both clubs (GAE and De Graafschap aren't rivals) told me GAE plays attractive football and de Graafschap often doesn't.

After a new complete offday against Omniworld (it was our 1st defeat ever out there) we Eagles all feared the results of the match against arch rival FC Zwolle. Last seasons we just weren't able to score against them. Always played better football, but the ball just wouldn't get in.

Until yesterday... WE DID IT!

Celebrating the victory with a lot of our fans in a pub afterwards was worth the headache I have at the moment. What a match, oldstyle football in our traditional stadium De Adelaarshorst. Go Ahead Eagles has made a lot of positive PR yesterday, the match was broadcasted live on TV and our fans kept supporting the boys by singing for the entire match in a packed De Adelaarshorst. That just might convince potential sponsors to also support the club, which will make our target (Eredivisie) much easier to reach. Eagles are woth it!

With only the match against Ajax woth mentioning ahead -everybody hates them aggorant rich bstrds- the squad is preparing for the playoffs. De Graafschap simply has more money, thus more good players. They will be champions and I think that club should also be in Eredivisie, like we should. So no shame or pitty there. Cambuur Leeuwarden played 1 match less, they have got 56 points like we do. Hopefully we'll win more of the last matches, ending 2nd in competition earns the right to have a fairly easy schedule during the playoffs. Overall I'm very satisfied with season 2009-2010, almost had no complaints.

Come on you Eagles!

Last seasons we just weren't able to score against them. Always played better football, but the ball just wouldn't get in. Until yesterday... WE DID IT! Celebrating the victory with a lot of our fans in a pub afterwards was worth the headache I have at the moment. What a match, oldstyle football in our traditional stadium De Adelaarshorst. Go Ahead Eagles has made a lot of positive PR yesterday, the match was broadcasted live on TV and our fans kept supporting the boys by singing for the entire match in a packed De Adelaarshorst. That just might convince potential sponsors to also support the club, which will make our target (Eredivisie) much easier to reach. Eagles are woth it! With only the match against Ajax woth mentioning ahead -everybody hates them aggorant rich bstrds- the squad is preparing for the playoffs. De Graafschap simply has more money, thus more good players. They will be champions and I think that club should also be in Eredivisie, like we should. So no shame or pitty there. Cambuur Leeuwarden played 1 match less, they have got 56 points like we do. Hopefully we'll win more of the last matches, ending 2nd in competition earns the right to have a fairly easy schedule during the playoffs. Overall I'm very satisfied with season 2009-2010, almost had no complaints. Our strikers don't seem to be lucky at the moment: 15 shots on target but none got in. Went to see the game in Oss at -4 degrees with a sharp freezing wind. What we do to support our boys sometimes is crazy. But we're Eagles. Fairly large stadium but no visitors (Oss 1250 vs GAE 75 fans). Would like to see Deventer put up some money for expansion of De Adelaarshorst, we have more than 4000 fans every game and if Oss can do such a thing... why shouldn't we? De Graafschap is now at 4 points, and they've played one match less. So there's still a small chance to win the championship. And if we don't succeed in that mission we still have a big chance because our team to my opinion is better than most teams who play against demotion in Eredivisie. Both teams played attractive football (a lot of GAE-players have injuries at the moment so the average age of our team is below 23 years old), we got lucky a few times and so did MVV. No real harm done; we're ranked 2nd at the moment so our life's still good. Fridays we play FC Dordrecht at De Adelaarshorst; we have to win to keep on pushing De Graafschap to make mistakes. They're ranked #1 at the moment; but their team isn't very much better than our Eagles. Lateron this season we play De Graafschap in an away game so we still have a faitly big chance. And we're in playoffs, so no worries.

De Graafschap are putting the foot down at this stage and look likely winners. Average age of 23 is phenomenal and good news for the next few years.

De Graafschap has players with more value; but people who visit both clubs (GAE and De Graafschap aren't rivals) told me GAE plays attractive football and de Graafschap often doesn't. But I look at things through red & yellow glasses
