gléacht/gaeldict

Hi - does anyone know where to get these?

As I can not find anything on gléacht to buy or download and gaeldict is old, none of the links work and would be quite troublesome to work on my pc or my mac tbh.

Cheers.

Yes! With Gléacht, you can search for an English or an Irish word.

Is there anywhere beside amazon where you can buy this?

I have found about 25 sites which mention it - but nowhere to buy it.

Who made it? When was it made?

(I meant this is for Ó Dónail is there a de Bhaldraithe version?)

Any good bookshops sell it. An American company (Gleacht Corporation) made the first version in '95. It's an electronic version of Ó Dónaill which is as comprehensive a dictionary as you'll find for modern Irish (apart from Dineen's dictionary which is available online too).

Another site:

It's handy to have on your computer. It doesn't have all the words of the book dictionary Ó Dónaill.

If you download Firefox browser you will be able to download an Irish dictionary/spellchecker with it. Which is very handy.
