Photo printer
I'd like to buy a photo printer, specifically for printing photographs.
Is it worth the price to do this, or am I better printing them off from the machine in the local chemist's shop? At what point does the printer become batter value? What's a good photo printer for the Mac? My Mac is a MacBook running Leopard, and my camera is a Canon SD880 - one of the Ixy models. |

i've got one of the small HP Photosmart A526 jobbies
it's good for limited numbers of prints and when you're not looking for top quality. that's the bottom line really -- if you can live with the slightly higher cost per print and slightly poorer quality, then the convenience of having your own photo printer is fantastic. But sometimes it can work out better going down and printing a good number to get a good per-photo rate! *** P.S. *** just printed off some holiday snaps there to see what difference a new camera makes (Canon IXUS 100IS) --- pics look really good actually printed off the thing. So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm happy with mine. wow....took me all that to come to the conclusion --- slow day i guess Last edited by babypink; 30-07-2009 at 19:17. |

I got the Mother a Canon camera that came with a Selphy CP 530 and it's a handy wee unit for ABC printing of pics. It wasn't dear when bundled in with the camera so I can't give you a price on it as a standalone but I am happy with it this far.
