Fundraising
Hey,
This summer i'm helping out at Surf2Heal Kerry, which is a surf camp for kids with autism being held at banna Beach, trallee from the 10th to the 14th of August. At the moment we're still fundraising and are trying to organise a table quiz. I was just wondering if anyone hear has organised a table quiz before and if so do they have any tips for organising one.any and all help is appreciated! cheers |

Get prizes from local shops. Go to as many as you can, no matter what kind of shop. Bring a hot girl when you're doing it.
Get a good MC. I know a few in Tralee if you want to PM me. Standard is 8 rounds of 10 questions (the MC makes these usually) with raffle in the middle. You will make a good bit from the raffle if you get good prizes. You will need a few people to correct answers, collect sheets and sell raffle tickets. Make loads of posters, and get them up as soon as you can. Set up a facebook event, invite loads of people. Good venues in Tralee are the Brogue, The Greyhound and Roundys. That's all I can think of for now. |

Oh and the standard price is 20 for a table of four, a fiver each. If you get REALLY good prizes you can charge more, but the you're better off trying to make money from the raffle rather than the entrance fee.
Some table quizzes now have a "phone bucket" on each table, where people put their mobile at the beginning of the quiz. I think it's a good idea, works well sometimes. |
