Anyone know of any procedure to use to deal with a verbally abusive and noisy neighbour?

Loud music, door slamming, dishwasher/washing machine on during the night!

I did approach them and was shouted at with expletives!

Any suggestions what I should do? I own the property that I live in so moving is out of the question!

If they're renting take it up with their landlord. Otherwise if you've said it to them and got abuse, not an awful lot you can do apart from move.

Place a bag of flaming dog turds on their doorstep in the time honoured fashion or engage in petty tit for tatism by using your lawn mower and power tools at the crack of dawn when self respecting druggies are just dropping off after the last BAG has run out.

Unfortunately they own the property!

I would turn up the music but I am far too considerate of the other residents....its an apt block!

Has anyone ever got the police involved and if so what does a caution from them entail?

The police will do sweet fúck all. If it's an apt block then there will be rules against this kind of thing, speak to the management company.
