Simon community donation

I realise that this is not a thread about volunteering but I thought that some other previous teers could probably answer.

I would like to start dropping in food to the shelter periodically but im not sure as to what would be the best.

does the shelter have cooking facilities?

would uncooked meats be useless? would soups be trite?

so far ive given bread, cereals, different tinned foods, and some confectionary, biscuits, chocolate, the likes.

I tried asking but yer one at the door didnt speak english beyond donation and thankyou.

oh, and would toiletries be any use? soaps, shampoos...?
