Not being smart, but why did you not ask the procedure and the reason why you have to return for a meeting when you were at the Dole Office ?

It might be that you have applied for JB in one the offices where they are piloting the fast track appointment system. Your claim must have flagged as being straightforward. If this is the case, then your claim will be awarded next week at your meeting, payment will then take 3 days to go to the post office. Make sure you return with all the documents that you may have been asked to produce. It will be backdated to the date that you first applied. And don't be late - you will have to go back in the general que - can take anything up to 12 weeks!;)

The reason why I asked you were you looking for benefit is because those of us who have made PRSI payments will get fast-tracked on the merits of our case. Its a new thing to speed up the applications and beat the backlog. Basically it means if your case is BENEFIT and it looks pretty solid, then you dont have to wait, they will do you there and then in the office whenever this meeting is. Congratulations, you should be in receipt of payments in the days following the meeting.:)

Except I'm not the OP :pac:

And this fast track system wasn't in place when I put my BENEFIT claim in, so I am still waiting, waiting, waiting.....

Not every office has the fast track system unfortunately.
