Good luck is all I can say. Maybe it is best trying out the southern cities such as Munich and Stuttgart first of all. The employment situation there is as far as I know better there then other places. However you are going to need a good bit of luck as like everywhere around Germany's companies are not hiring or letting off workers. Check the internet out.

Also take a look at www.toytowngermany.com as it is full of english speaking ex-pats. You can get lots of advice from them. It also has job sections.

Hi, where are you flying to? Are you just flying to check out the job or will you already stay there?

Anyway, try

www.arbeitsagentur.de (the german FAS, although they might be quite busy at the moment )

www.stellenanzeigen.de

www.nicejob.de and when you are in the very south of germany you could try nicejob.ch and nicejob.at as well -> let me know if it is the case, I'll look up some more for you that are specialised on the south.

www.backinjob.de also has a good choice, they also have waiting jobs and loads of part time jobs, in case nothing else comes up.

Those are the first coming to my mind,

Good luck

thanks for the replies guys

i here in germany right now, and i have found a job in mcdonalds for the time being

i have a degree and a masters in busines information systems, wirtschaftinformatik, i think its called in german.

i have just finished the masters, and only have 6 months directly related work experience

so i have applied for work in call centres, for technical support positions in german, but dunno if ir would be better for my german to stay working in a place like mcdonalds where i get to speak the language all day long!

i understand about 85% of what the germans ae sayign to me, but my own spoken german has a bit to go yet, but its not too bad, considering im only here 3 weeks now.

wat ye think guys, any advice wood be great, im not sure whether to look for companies that operate in english, where i could get a job that relates to wirtschaftsinformatik, or whether to stay at the likes of mcdonalds for another while, to allow my german improve first

thanks for lookin guys

ed

First off well done

I would stick in McDonalds and crack the German completely and then start looking for better.
