Currys deface Irish flag
Hi,

Did anyone see Currys disgraceful add in Metro this morning. Page 15 to 17 is an add for currys but they put an English flag in the Irish colours. This has to be some sort of crime against the history of Ireland and its people as they outright deface our flag in a well populated paper. I for one will never buy from curry’s. They didn't deface our flag. They defaced the union jack using other colours.

Unless you think we own those colours.

People still get worked up about the english flag in this day and age? Thought we'd progressed passed that as a nation.

Our flag hasn't been defaced, it's the Union Flag that has been corrupted if anything.

I thought it was more a hybrid. At least in my copy it looked like it was red, white and Green.

If they had done the other way with the Tricolour in the UK colours would it not have just been the French Flag?

You're overreacting there a bit I think. If any flag is being "defaced" it's the British one.
