Holes in your plan

I was just thinking if it would be a good idea to post what you think your survival plan is and then if others saw a glaring hole in it they could point it out or give advice.
Mine is to get to the nearest bank or barracks obviously but it would be more likely i will end up in my attic(not before i destroy the stairs!)only problem is once i was up there i would have no visual contact with the outside surroundings!

Surely when there is a horde of zombies they will start climbing over each other to get at you or even climb over their fallen comrades

felt that too, but I always kinda wondered how they're got to be so many of them if they're so slow?

Urban areas massive amounts of people in close proximity I am guessing, like if it was something like the population density of a city it would be easy to get caught out and cornered by one.
The initial confusion would lead people to stay with the infected, you know the usual stuff.

hmm, Milky..

right, heres the plan. One magic word. Tescos.
my house is located on a top of a hill, so, moving quickly and silently, volting over backwalls until I reach the bottom of the hill, at which point, observing activity from the final hedgerow. Seeing if there is any activity, being a zombie story, or zombie reality, its based on films, thus meaning, coast looks clear, and tesco, usually a large lit up building with glass walls, is dark, moving quickly, sneaking into tescos being sure to keep my head down and moving between cars, and always being extremely weary about zombies being underneath the cars, inside the cars, or hidden around the corners of cars. Moving to the presumably open doors of tesco (I mean.. When does it close?) moving quickly and directly to the back door, located at the end of the line of till's to your immdiate right as you pass through the main entrance, getting in there, moving to the store room. Presumably i'd have to face a zombie at this point, i.e one in the corridor or in the store room itself, depending on the situation, would sneak past him, or let him pass me (holding mouth against breathing etc) or simply return to "home improvements" isle, and getting a shovel, and return to the zombie and beheading him, seeing as zombies usually move in packs, being weary, and moving quickly but quietly, getting into the store room, and locking the doors by pushing crates layden with food infront of the door, using the wrapping of the food packaging, sticking the packaging and covering the windows, then, holding up there for 2 months, rationing my food, at which point, the zombies either would be all dead, or numbers seriously reduced, to which moving quickly getting out of tesco and inspecting the situation, if it has gotten better, contintue and look for help, worse, back to the store room.

If it got better, moving quickly, and quietly, move towards the Gardai barracks located in the centre of town (Nenagh), finding any available guns etc, trying phonelines, getting a car, learn to drive, then move towards Limerick, to which point seeing as it is a built up area, searching for a check point.

I have no life.

see you were going alrite until u hit limerick haha..I am still weary of shopping centres as all bad zombie movies show us that's where poeple head and generally die there
I would try to get to the barracks even though it is just like 25mins away I doubt it would be a wise option thus i stay at home in my attic waiting, supplies would defo be a problem

hmm, see, with weariness, and alot of caution, you could get in... you could get into tesco.. as it is its own building.. and very open as in you could see most if not everything from the outside.. thus you could probably get in and safely get to the Store room. and with the shovel.. you are pretty safe.. hmm...

you'll have no life if you follow that plan.

supermarkets are all well and good, but anything that draws a crowd is a bad idea. similarly, heading away from your house [on top of a hill, of all places - thats a good defense!] then entering a town, well, you're gonna be zombie dinner. for us unfortunates to be stuck in a big city, well, we'll probably have to do something like that. but you're pretty much in the countryside, or close enough to it. get out there, grab a tractor or a big jeep and chuck as much as you can steal from local hoses in there, grab a pitchfork or farmer's shotgun and head to a nice big barn or something, and wait it out there. a big painted 'SOS' on the roof wouldn't go amiss. and you can always a-team up the tractor to include some metal plates, blades on the wheels, etc.

also, the zombies could take longer than 2 months to die, so, uou may need to raid that tescos every now and again. but don't hold up there.
