Welcome to the Miniature Gaming forum (formerly "Games Workshop" forum). The following guidelines can and will evolve as necessary, so please be aware of the current set:

Personal abuse is not tolerated.

Please keep your conduct civil towards other posters on this forum. You may not agree with what they say and you don't have to like them, but you do have to keep your posts civil. Resorting to name calling directly or by innuendo is a no-no. The use of smiley icons does not make abuse any less abusive and we do not care if you claim you were "only joking". Abuse is abuse.

Reporting posts / Backseat moderating

If you take issue with another user's post, please use the 'Report Post' feature (the exclaimation mark icon found to the bottom left of the post in question), and the moderators will be notified.

Please do not respond in kind to said posts, as backseat moderating causes more harm than good and can end up with censure for several users in place of one user.

Conflict of Interest

In order to keep everyone honest and to avoid misrepresentation, we ask that where a user is affiliated either directly or indirectly with a company and/or event, that they make it known during discussion of said company or event.

No commercial advertising

Boards.ie has a long-standing policy concerning commercial users, requiring them to take a commercial package in support of the site since they are being provided with a target audience for little effort. Please contact the moderators for more information on this.

No shilling

The act of shilling is frowned upon greatly on boards.ie, and will serve an immediate site-wide ban if discovered.

A brief description of a shill (as described by Wikipedia);
Quote:
A shill is an associate of a person selling goods or services or a political group, who pretends no association to the seller/group and assumes the air of an enthusiastic customer.

No selling/trading

Want to sell a load of miniatures or rules or the like? Not here you don't. Please visit boards.ie's sister site adverts.ie

Off-Topic comments

Please keep posts on-topic and relevant to the discussion at hand.

Feedback

If at any time, a user has issue with moderator descisions, please take complaints/suggestions/etc. to the feedback forum. Do not attempt to challenge a decision within a thread.
