Following on from the fire engine being hit, some pics of Essex FRS in action. I do like their newer Scania trucks

Scania appliances, they're very common in Ireland:

There's also stuff like this:

All images from Eddie Gentle's excellent www.blues-twos.com which has photos of pretty much every fire appliance on the island.

Here's an Aussie news clip about that Lamborghini patrol car in Italy. Note the lack of traffic cones in the boot intricately intertwined with scenes of crime tape.

Lamborghini DONATED it!

(Bill Cullen, please note.)

I was browsing that blues and twos website and it seems the Coast Guard have had the new Mondeo's since last year. Looks great with those alloys.

An American company has come up with the first purpose-built police car. Every other police vehicle pretty much has been a commerical or military vehicle painted up with a few minor modifications and some lights slapped on it. This has everything from aerodynamic embedded lights through license-plate recognition cameras. Even the seats are designed for police wearing thick utility belts.

Video on the link. (http://www.foxnews.com/video2/video0...465329,00.html)

It's a shame that Ford won't produce a police spec Mondeo..and that we don't have a Government that would be willing to purchase those cars specifically. Imagine it. True uniformity and a spec like that car above. We'd then have a subsidiary contract for a police spec Focus or something similar for sub districts.

Anyway, back on topic:

The blues look great at night, imo.

Two Garda Helis at a PR event?! I know theres a plane, but taking two of them out of the air is a bit rash. Although, presuming thats Pheonix Park, it would actually be a better place to have the helis.
