It's up there at the top, but it should run fine. You're right though, there isn't a lot of expansion room. Mind you, hard drives only use about 6-7W max. They idle around 2W.

Yeah sorry that was a mistake....I meant the 6870! Would that psu support it ok or should i get a better one? Or what about the other card mentioned there how would that be?

Btw besides the graphics card I don't intend on upgrading anything anytime soon so the extra power isn't necessary right now?

The 6870 is vastly superior to the 6790. Yes, the 450W amazon would be enough for the 6870, especially considering that you won't be overclocking the CPU.

I wouldn't say huge now, but the 6870 is usually better value. AMD reduced the price to entice people away from nVidia's 560, so quite often you can find some 6870s below the €150, priced very close to the 6850.

If you're shopping somewhere that has a good selection (and competitive prices), the 6870 is usually worth the additional money.

The Creative T40s - they're really awesome; fantastic sound out of them, highly recommend! I wrote a review of them if u wanna read. If ur getting a standard sound card (i'm just using the one on my mobo) i really recommend getting the Creative X-30 dock; it has a crystallizer & 3D effect, makes the sound EVEN BETTER and really worth the ~€23 if you can spring for it. Shop around for both, they vary in prices a good bit

This is my computer at the moment, currently making a review on both the Rampage IV extreme and the 3960x.

Very nice Thor. Either that gtx580 is heavy even with the support or that picture is slanted.
