was wondering whether anybody had any advice for me. was hoping to book a last min deal for a week in the sun heading off around the 29th july.

don't mind where i go just want sun.

any advice how long to leave it ( two days before ? etc.. )
where to book from ...

id check teletext, directholidays.ie and budgettravel websites, i think they all have last minute deals

Generally u wont get anything cheap for July or August, and most travel agents will also tell u this. I waited last year but ended up paying full price. I checked every website going, rang every travel agent, was signed up to every newsletter but nada! Apparently u really only get last minute cheapies in May/June/September. I paid full price which was about 600 for one week for Crete for end of July i think it was, end of July or first week in August.

thinkin same myself next wknd i think.u can always keep checkin net durin wk leadin up to date u wanna head off but its tough get something fairly cheap.myself and buddy actually want head off sat so we goin to pack bags fri night and head into travel agents first thing sat mornin to see will cancellation crop up.few buddies did this b4 and worked so we goin give it a try.best luck with it!
