Saw a pic from a guy before, I think it was during Iraqi Freedom, of his tank gettin stuck when the bank of the wadi he was driving next to collapsed, all ok armoured repair vehicle came out to pull in outta the wadi except that got stuck too! dunno how they got them out in the end but they were some funny pics!

On armoured vehicles getting stuck, I was watching Fighting on the Frontline on Channel 4 on Sunday night, the show was based around the British Warthog armoured troop carriers. They decided to cut through a river to save time coming back from a mission until 2 of them got stuck in the river.

The rest had to divert the long way around and ended up getting IED'D and lost 1 solider while a commander was blown from the vehicle with minor injuries.

Just to think if the vehicles were more capable in water it would have saved that troop a day of waiting with the stranded vehicles and and a soldiers life....

We were doing a live fire exercise for a bunch of congressmen that day. That was my young LT's tank who feared for his commision after leading the tank into that pond. Pulled him out with his wing mens tanks and spent hours trying to dry and clean it out!
Later that day I had a congressman & woman in my tank in the Gunner and Loaders position, we had a miss fire from the main gun, and had a live round in the tube. The 2 politicans started crying and praying for their lifes fearing the round was going to explode in the tube. We force fired the round down range withou incident but it was a pity it was pre youtube days, could have ended their careers there and then!

Saw the Norwegian Minesweeper HNoMS Maaloey leaving Dublin Port this lunch time Unfortunately I didn't get any pics as I didn't have my camera with me. Here's a nice gallery. LE Orla (P41) was also in Dublin Bay.

EDit: Seems to have been part of an excercise.
