Attention fishkeepers!!

Hi all,
I got a coldwater set-up a while ago. Much as I love it, the air pump that was included is driving me mad, it's very noisy and I've tried everything to quieten it down without success, so I'm looking for a new one.
I'm wondering if anyone could reccommend a good-quality, *quiet* air pump for me? Also preferably a double-output one (i.e, 2 holes in it) so I can attach one of those bubble-curtains.

If it helps, this is the tank.

- 14 litres
- 44cm (h) x 24 (w) x 33 (l) - taller than its wide so I need a strong air pump.
-Home to a redcap oranda, a shubunkin, a sarasa comet, and a baby weather loach. All small in size atm.

Cheers!

Firstly, u got too many of the wrong kinda fish in that particular tank.
they will outgrow it real quick, specially the dojo (weather) Loach.
even at a small size, still a bit much tbh.
As for the air pump, u can try one of the very small cheap hagen models, but placing may be a problem in that particular tank.

best of luck

I've noisy one at home, sounds like a two stroke engine... - so I dont use it.

But I saw a rena pump in action not so long ago & it was very quiet.

ahhh... that was my very first tank.
my g/f got it for me for christmas with 2 small goldfish
2 years later and i was working in an aquarium shop
and had 5 tanks in our 1bed apartment...!

digressing. anyway my airpump died after a while too.
dunno if it's powerfull enough and so it got knackered very quickly.

I'd stay away from rena.
not very reliable either.

get an oversized one so it doesn't have to work as hard.

tetratec do a nice quiet model.

Sometimes the noise is because it is vibrating against something.
put it on a bit of polystarine or something so it' doesnt' shake around.

ring fishfx get their number from www.fishfx.net and
ask if they have them in stock... prices etc.

all the best.

nice lads.
