Totally agree about the ringtone ads. Very annoying and on way too often.

Those stupid idents in some attempt to make MTV seem in touch with Ireland, the one with the sheep and such. They don't play them in the UK. They're like, 30 seconds long but manage to completely patronise and falsify their impression of their Irish audience.

Everytime I see them I wanna ring them up and say "How about actual acknowledgment of Ireland's existence during the year not just at Paddy's Day? Having a show come from Ireland, playing some Irish acts and actually having some content that reflects the Ireland bit of the MTV UK and Ireland?"

I'm in a bad mood now just thinking about it.

Better yet, why not wipe out MTV altogether and use the transponder space for something more interesting. A blank screen and tone would be an improvement......

A) Any Simpsons episode made in the past six or seven seasons-utter ****e-even the repears are getting boring at this stage-let it die before we cant even remember that it was funny once.Whoeve said its getting better with age is either mentally unstable or a child.

B)Ringtone ads,personal injury claim ads that empower clumsy idiots into thinking someone else made them fall down the stairs while they were carrying scissors,personal loan ads-especially the one with all the people waving out of the window at the end.

C)MTV and VH1 should burn-MTV for its lack of music and VH1 for showing the same "Worst of..." lists over and over.

D)Trouble-old episodes of "The College Years" arent my idea of good tv and becuase they show some really truly awful awful adult animation like Undergrads and one about secret angents.

E)Reality tv-I wont talk about cause ill just get angry.

F)The way in which what little good programming that is on is axed at the whiff of any kind of sports event-Euro 2k4 and Wimbeldon being the current offenders.The Olympics will be the same later in the summer.

As that pretty much indicates almost all tv these days is annoying to me-tv is only worth watching quite late in the night when some decent shows are on for a change.

Pretty much every channel on Sky is crap, with maybe the possible exception of FX. I've saved a ton of money by cutting my Sky subscription to the bare minimum and downloading the programs I'm interested in - Sopranos, The Shield, Deadwood, and maybe Drew Carey...
