Or are you p!ssed off with it?....i get that the forum is for discussing tv shows, but one wonders does the news updates posted on each show annoy people?

should it be toned down or do you appreciate it?/save you snooping for news yourself?

You love putting a bullseye on your chest and daring people to shoot you, don't you? :)

As long as its kept spoiler free and posted to its relevant thread, I've no problem with it. Put another way, if you and JP Liz didn't do it, then someone else would!

I think its good, keeps everyone in the loop and up to date about upcoming shows like Alcatraz or changes in the production of our favourite shows. Keep it up Dower!

I have no problem with people posting up bits of news but I don't think every story needs a new thread. I said this as well in the film forum but I think I would prefer if there was a rolling news thread. If a show is airing and there's something to discuss I think it's fine to post news items in the relevant thread but I don't like threads like this where it's just a series of links to Deadline and no discussion.

If people don't post news how are they going to get up to 11k posts like yourself?

I agree.. I'm tiring of new threads started for shows that are barely past the stages of scripting.

If you're gonna start a thread for a new show, I think it should be mandatory that it has a promo at the very minimum.
