Last week, the full version of S.W.I.N.E. was made freely available by it's developers, StormRegion. S.W.I.N.E is an RTS involving Pig and Rabbit armies battling it out in tanks and the like. It was developed back in 2001 but still looks good today!

You can get it at 3DGamers. (716MB)

I don't think this has been mentioned before, but it's awesome: Starlock. It's a kind of space trading game with a lot of RPG elements. I've just started and it's incredible. Unfortunately it's not finished and the creator (quite rudely) says that he doesn't really plan on finishing it. But basically the main game is there but missing a few of the story driven missions.

It really is a hard game to describe, but it's one of the more unique online games I've played. It says it's a MMORPG, but I don't actually think you need to contact anyone else in the game at all. There is a hell of a lot to explore and do. Give it a whirl, it may not be around for ever (the creator seems a bit of an a$$hole)

yeah. you're right there. I read what he had to say: www.prowler-pro.com/starlock He spent 6 years on it in his own time and lets you play it for free and to round it off you like it. pffttt..What an asshole.

lol, I didn't mean it like that. Looking back actually, I suppose it was a little strong :D. Basically, I was talking about the whole tone of the article. The defeatest attitude doesn't really do much for selling to game to people. Doubt I could give up all hope after spending 6 years of my life on something. It's a fantastic project and I hope it gets picked up by someone!

I uncovered a gem called "Deadly Rooms of Death" or DROD for short. It's a little difficult to describe but I would sum it up as a turn based puzzler along the lines of something like Chips Challenge. The official website is here. From the website the description is:

DROD can't be described in terms of other games without just confusing the issue. It's a puzzle game without block pushing or falling bricks. It's a turn based RPG without the role-playing or statistics. It's an action game without the action. It's a roguelike that really has little in common with Rogue and its cousins. It's rare that someone makes a game that can't be described as something-meets-something else, and it's almost impossible to describe to someone without sitting them down and just showing them the game.

In short I would recommend simply going to the downloads page and grabbing the Architect's Edition which allows you to create your own levels.

    Kal Online

Ok , first off I have no idea baout these games , I have never played one of them and probably never will as they just don't appeal to me .

Having said that , I did a search of the forums and can't find any mention of this game here , so I thought I would pop a post on letting ye know about it . The clan that I am in has recently lost alot of our members to it as we did to WOW a while back , actually most of the WOW people form our Clan went over to it aswell .

It is a totally free mmorpg ( I think , as like I said I don't really know anything beyond fps's ) , it can be found at www.kalonline.com and I also found a review here

Anybody who's into RTS game should check out Spring. It's a free, fully 3D RTS engine. There are loads of mods, most of them ports from Total Annihilation. They've already implimented alot of features from Supreme Commander like being able to zoom out and view the entire map. Having icons as units in zoomed out in the next step they're going to tackle.

Hi guys, I recently set up my new website www.biguglymonster.com. It's a free flash game website currently with 1250 games but with another 500 to come very soon!

If you could add it to the sticky list or pass this on to anyone that would be great! I'm trying to get a lot of new members so if anyone can join that would help me a lot! :D

Suprised this hasn't been mentioned before, Anarchy Online, an MMORPG. The original game and the first expansion are free, the other two you have to pay for.

It's actually a huge game, and fairly addictive, and not as easy to max your level as most MMO's too.
