Changed my mind, this game is shyte! This opinion has nothing to do with the fact i lost 5 online fights in a row :p

3 epic fights (2 that went to a decision) but i was dominated in all of them. Seriously need to work on my ground game. The last 2 guys both used a thai clinch glitch where i couldn't block and one knee from them would knock me down. Looked it up and it's happening other people. Both of them kept using it but still could only win by decision. Boring and pointless in unranked match.

Also, the parry window is too big at the moment. Holding block and then holding strike gives you a 2 second window to parry strikes. Lots of parry's back and forth. Hopefully the window will be shortened and penalty introduced for missing one.

Well the beta is finished but the game is still live so Practice Mode still works. No idea how long it will last and if they can even stop people from playing it :pac:

Got a chance to try moves with different fighters and Eric Silva has some crazy subs. He can go straight into Thai Clinch and from there go into flying armbar that skips the first 2 or 3 stages of the sub.

Speaking of subs, they are one of my favourite parts of the game. I made a Jitsu guy in Ultimate Team and I had 2 subs, RNC & Kimura, that both had transitions during the first stage. Both transition to Arm bar that only has 2 stages to finish the sub. I was walking through AI with it at will. Real players are much better at sub defense but the amount of Submissions a Jitzu guy can have is crazy from the top, bottom, sprawl, clinch and defending a takedown (as should be).

Bruce Lee returning for this game. You can unlock him straight away by just owing the first game (it will be registered in your EA account), signing up to EA access our beating career mode and entering the hall of fame.

Also confirmed there will be no demo. Probably because of all the glitch videos made of the last demo, but a bit cap for people do will be buying it anyway.

Let them focus on getting the game right, we'll forgive them then for no demo

Career mode looks like there's a hell of a lot more to it this time, I think I'm sold

I read an idea online that would be a great addition

    Roughly...
Join a gym (jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, mma, etc.) for your starting style/stats. With cash from UFC fights, pay for specialised trainers (boxing, etc) for new moves, training equipment to up stats and even customize your gym for a personal touch.

Sounds like a really good idea, would be a great touch to the mode.

Game Director told me on twitter that you gain EV (Evolution Points) after every fight that you spend to buy new moves and perks. I think this is how the last game worked with moves? I can't remember much from the last games career mode as it bored me to tears.

I did have an idea for a new mode.
Basically you create your own camp. You start with nobodys that are basic CAF fighters. You need to manage your camp and fighters by deciding if you want to focus on wrestling, striker ect. You can also control each fighter when they're fighting.

You'd see your camp become bigger and start attracting bigger names and getting better coaches in to teach new moves.

Said this a few month back. I'm surprised they never added something like it in. You could almost have a Football Manager style system where you're trying to bring in the best young fighters to build for the future.

Yeah that's Ultimate Team was kind of looking like but at the moment, it's just CAF online mode and I can't see much incentive to have 5 fighters spread out moves/perks you unlock instead of piling them all into 1 or 2 fighters. A mix of Career and Ultimate Team with gym personalisation would be ideal.

For anyone wanting to pre-order this (especially with the Tyson, Sakuraba and Rutten fighters being included for those who pre-order), if you want to use a UK based site now is probably the time given the shift in exchange rate due to uncertainty over the UK's place in the EU over the last few days.

ShopTo.net are generally very good. I've got a few games off them and have usually had it on release day (though this isn't guaranteed it must be said). They're current charging, including delivery, £47 for tracking or £43 without tracking. That works out at €60 with tracking or €54 without it at the current rates.

    GameStop are charging €75.

I'm going digital myself for 70. Will have it midnight Wednesday and then Paddys Day and friday, nice long weekend

Does the postman deliver on Paddys Day?

I'll be going digital also, works out at €52 on the Canadian store, and you'd get it two days earlier as well.

Getting pretty excited for this now; pity it's not out before March 5th; would be a great time killer for the 196 under card.

New trailer showing off the different modes.

Such a pity KO mode isn't online, would be a laugh and to do something different. Live Event mode looks good as well the way you can make picks and if they win, you unlock card packs for Ultimate Team.

Cant wait for this and the timing of it is perfect rolling in to Paddys day then the weekend so can get a bit of time to play it.

Seems a real lost opportunity not to have an online option with KO mode, prob not something that could be added post release?

I think the devs were worried online would just be all be using KO mode so they are trying to force it local co-op. I have a feeling they will patch it online at some point, maybe a few months down the line to get people interested in a new online mode.

There is more bad models in there then good models, wtf?

You'd think they'd be able to model players properly, considering how well Fifa do it. The Fifa team don't even use artists to model the heads, they take 3D scans to achieve 1:1 realism. Fairly pathetic in 2016 really.

    Haha yeah that IS GSP

Luke looks weird even though EA said they spent extra time on him as he complained how he looked in the last game.

I thought they were all scanned but even in the beta, some fighters like Gunni look like a shyte caf and others like Hendricks looks spot on.
