    Hi,
I am looking for some advice to back up my Buffallo Linkstation Pro2 NAS as I feel I am exposed if the NAS/Hard drive fails, as I currently do not have any backups running.

There is ~450gb used of various media out of the 2TB

Anyone backing up similar, and how are you going about it.

    thanks in advance

    T

I backup 900+ GB to Crashplan for $5 a month, but I dont think you'll be able to use them with that NAS. Your options will be limited to whatever it can run.

    Hi ED E,

    Sorry for hijacking thread!

I was looking at getting the Crashplan for $5 a month for my synology DS214play. Can I backup all the content i.e TV Shows, Movies (1.5TB) to crashplan?

I have eFibre 90down/25up so my connection is good. Can I set it up that once the first big backup is completed will it just backup what has been added since the last backup?

    Regards,
    BobbyT28

I wouldn't bother backing up TV and stuff, I only include my own data like photos and videos. But you can include anything you like, just pick the folders.

I'm on 120/12Mb but don't expect to use your full upload, transatlantic routes can be a little busy (it syncs to Minneapolis not Dublin, Dublin is for business users AFAIK) so the first backup will take a month or two. After that it just pushes changes to them every few hours.
