Does kilkenny not have local radio?

I am sorry but I have hobbies that I am interested in and could talk at length about them but I am sure they would bore you to tears, so I wouldn't ring the national radio provider to talk about it.

That makes no sense, by that logic Newgrange Passage Tomb would be of no concern to anyone outside Meath.

Very different from a local story that has no interest to anyone outside the locality, like Dublin Bin Collections.

I thought it was an interesting topic. but it would have made a decent 10 minute piece on The Pat Kenny Show. Instead he let her ramble on and on saying the same things over and over again.

PS Anyone up for a quick raid on Oxford to get our Book back? :)

Yeah, that's a fair point Skid but the comments here were so over the top and hateful.

Fair enough if it was Aubrey or one of those state spongers moaning about their 'entitlements' being taken off them. This just seemed to be a gentle old sort who was interested in history. Burn her!!

Newgrange is 5000 years old. This book is about a 100 years old. And typically for this show, I dont understand why it is so special because she didnt tell me and Joe didnt ask her why.

I agree with you, some posters here think every caller is fair game for vitriol regardless of their point.

This thread can be a very nasty place at times.

Looks like I missed a brilliant show today....not.

Is it just me, or has the quality entertainment value of Lahv Lahn dropped noticeably in recent weeks?

I'm also dismayed to see people posting about lampooning callers to the show on this thread.......it's the only thing that makes the show bearable! If that stops, I'm off to give David Harvey and 4FM a chance. My dad told me last week that show is "even funnier" than Lahv Lahn. I don't think he's listened to a Funny Friday yet though......

    Expect more nostalgia fm today.
He's on a roll now and they'll be queuing up with stories of "fado, fado"
All he has to do is sit back and let them rabbit on while he counts the clock down.

Yeah, it's not like the Mahon Report is out today.....the most expensive and arguably important report in the history of the state and one which could potentially expose one of Joe's heros as a liar and corrupt......oh, wait a second...
