    Yes. Wild boar is also commonly refered to as Mary Harney. Alive & well.

    what is the problem with boar or muntjac of any deer
    rabbits will eat more
    fox will kill more
    only hunt for what you eat..

    or take a lease and screw the hunters in it for money..
    and talk bout it and be the big lad or sell it to game dealer for notting even worse...

    just eat what we shoot
    and there will be plenty of good hunting:cool:

    i think the main problem is the effect that another species would have on the environment where other animals are living.
    another is the rootin they will do in pasture. ive seen ordinary pigs knock the ****e out of fields.

    On the wild boar side of things, theres a hipy type fella from england livin not too far from me and he had a wild boar(male) to breed with his domestic pigs (the cross makes an excellent killing animal he says).
    Long story short the boar escaped and last place it was seen for sure was in Lietrim and im a fair bit away from Lietrim here in sligo.

    ps i wouldnt mind gettin a shot at him though for the pot!;)
