    I'm only 2 away from finishing now - If anybody has any idea of the answer to either 2 Down or 12 across could they post one or the other so I can try to work out the last one then.

    Cheers

    Hi Spike440 ... was just wondering, if you're going to post answers to the clues, would you be able to wrap them in the spoiler tags please? (I only discovered this yesterday myself) This prevents the answers from being revealed unless you deliberately decide to click on them. Many thanks.

    Fair play to you!

    I haven't had time to look at it yet .. hope it's easier than the last few days And, as for last Saturday's :mad: I couldn't get the four linked clues at all (the perimeter ones), though someone last night did tell me the linked word. I'll have another go tonight maybe.

    I'm not sure, what does navy have to do with rag. Sure we'll have to see tomorrow!

    RN = Royal Navy

    Which is present; however, I can't see that being very sound

    Yesterday's # 5 Isna and isna? = Arena

    Could someone explain that one to me please? ... Is * 2 = Are? hmm

  • Registered Users Posts: 527 ✭✭✭Spike440

    Yes that's it: isna and isna = 2 x is + na = are + na = ARENA

    That one was a bit out there. I only got it because i had A_E_A, and ARENA was the only word I could think of to fit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 442 ✭✭bothyhead

    Thanks for confirming that Spike.
