Jimmy Hyland tore his cruciate, lads. Awful luck.

Only starting college this week with a sports scholarship in Maynooth.

Ive torn my cruciate twice and ripped my meniscus. Its a terrible, confidence bursting injury but with proper physio (after op physio is the real crucial aspect here) hopefully he will be ok. Great Kildare "career" ahead of him

Alan Smith informed the whole Kildare set up of his situation early this year. He has been getting the help he needs.

What exactly is the help for theft?

Dreadful for the young lad. I have seen him playing since he was around 14 and always stood out. Mentally it will be a huge test for him also.

Ballyteague and alymer gaels are good people though so hopefully gets the support he needs.

I'd tend to agree but wanted to know what the story was since someone else brought it up.

Always a footballer I taught never got anywhere near to the early promise shown. Wonder was this a factor.

Heard Conway went down twice before going off injured in the Hurling. Any truth to this?

Sallins had a man sent off after 20 minutes and another after 50 minutes! Yet still won!

Sarsfields have finished the half strongly with three points from Ray Cahill and the last score of the half from Ben McCormack. David Slattery's early goal keeping Confey in touch.

Surely sarsfields will get one up on their rivals at some stage

They did a serious number on them last year. Moorefield simply hadn't the legs to live with McCormack who was on fire on the day. Moorefield have rebuilt a bit since and look to have added some youth and pace. The conditions will have a big bearing. A dry day should suit Sarsfields. The size and physicality of guys like Roli, Jason Phillips, David Whyte and Ger Naughton might swing things Moorefield's way if it's a wet day.

I belive all the Kildare senior football selectors have been axed. New replacements already appointed to be announced after the County final. Heard Roly Sweeney from Moorfields one of them.

More moorefield men to run the show its the last thing Kildare need!!!!!
Sarsfields in the final again for the 5th year in a row and yet only one on the Kildare senior team. Surely Cahill scully and McCormack should be given a run at least?!?!
Doctor o Neill would want to see a doctor himself

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,101 ✭✭✭klairondavis

McCormack would have been starting in the championship last year if he hadn't skipped training for Punchestown.

Con Kavanagh and Shea Ryan are two who should be given a go in 2017.

Worst county final I have seen in a long time. Naas had no passion or ideas.

    Poor game of hurling.
