Love that W123 interior, they really made those cars very well, its super looking !

The Escort Mexico is fab, looks like it is Irish reg'd ??

It's a Clare/Limerick reg, car in Galway. Owner has 2, but I haven't seen the other. There's a few of them about in this condition where I am, and fabulous Mk1, too.

*raises eyebrows*. I think we need an explanation! :D

Dublin registered Beetle spotted in Santry Avenue Industrial Estate this morning (with a little dog inside). I wouldn't be mad on the two tone colour scheme. All purple would look much better IMO.

Had a 79 6.6 T/A ( 79 D 80 ) about 20 years ago - basically bought off the Customs who had siezed it:eek: T-roof made it very rattly on the bad roads. Same colour as this one, sold it for IR£8k

    Hi all,

We had a Thursday evening meeting for those can't make the Sunday meeting.
It went well with a number of members who would normally miss the Sunday turned up on the Thursday evening.

It was held at long time standing member of the club, garage and what a garage to have at the back of your house.

Gerry thank you very much for everything it was a great evening.

Next month's Thursday meeting for members will be held a Franks and he will be showing us how to do lead loading on body work, it is a lost art form and I am looking forward to that one.. All details will going out to members by email and text as normal.
Here are a few pictures from the evening including a few of Gerry's car's in their cosy garage.

Note most are Irish, and he has owned them for years, it was very interesting to hear the back ground stories to each of them.

    Hi carchaelogist

Yes it was a very nice touch, was even thinking a garage set up like that at a show would be super in a large tent as such. Besides Rover P5B they are all Irish cars the Morris Minor reg is MMI but he moved the I to numbers and spray her gold for 50th anniv for Morris Minor. Yes the Rover nice touch in spilting V8 part of he ZV was a nice touch another fellow in the club has a Stag and did the same with it. Not sure how legal it is but looks good and all the gigits are there. He hardly use his cars and they are all in very good nick even the bikes are Irish and has owned them for years. Also the little one next to the Rover is a 1928 or 38 Morris also Irish, next time I am there will get a proper pic of it. The Stag was last out 1.5 years ago and it was on the tip to toe around Ireland when we did charty run for Crumlins childrens Hospital.

    My apologies, the Trans-Am I was thinking of was 79 D 83.
It was a 400ci, originally a dark brown metallic and was owned by Bolands on Pinnock Hill, later owned by Joe Headon and it was resprayed red and white for the Budweiser promotion at the time. '87 or '88??

Although it would look quite naff now I thought it was pretty groovy at the time!

Here's a rather sorry looking Capri parked by the ferry - a 1972 1600GT XLR according to Cartell.

It's an electric bicycle, more accurately a Giant LA free Sports (slope frame model). Looks like an aftermarket fitment of a disk brake front wheel too.:pac::pac::pac:
