Hi

I'd like to download clips from Dáil debates to upload to Facebook/Twitter. I'm not too technically minded and am hoping someone can tell me how this can be done.

I see some TDs upload clips of their speaking time to their Twitter feeds and they have a YouTube logo on them - are the clips uploaded there first and then copied to their Twitter page?

I don't even know how to access the video of a particular TD or debate, never mind how to upload it to YouTube or whatever.

If anyone could give me some help with this it'd be much appreciated.

Apologies if there's been a thread on this before, I did search but didn't find anything relevant

Dail videos can be downloaded from http://www.oireachtas.ie/parliament/watchlisten/downloadvideofiles/ and can be re-published subject to the PSI Licence for Re-Use of Information

If you want technical advice then I suggest you check out the social networks forum and the Audio-Video Editing forum. There may be useful info there already.

I have a great app on my phone "My Videoder". It's easy to use, you can download from any site.

You just browse through the Google interface, you can log into Facebook through it or go on whatever other site. I think once you hit play on a video it registers it and then you just click the 'DL' button in the top right.
