Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Me & My wife are living in Monaghan. She is working in Monaghan & I'm working in Belfast. I've a UK Reg car that is in the name of my wife. Am I expected to pay the VRT on the car to register the car in Ireland?

Yes, unless it's a company car.

If you have lived in the UK and owned the vehicle for an extended time (6 months?) and are bringing the vehicle with you, the amount of VRT is very small.

You (your wife) have to have owned the car for 6+ months in the UK.
