Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Youtube Fame

    This is something that has fascinated me greatly. With the advent of Youtube and its phenomenal growth in popularity, we have seen a new celebrity emerging - the Video Bloggers (I believe they're called?) These have been both praised and lampooned by the media and the established celebrities.

    Among these are Chris Crocker (Youtube, [NSFW]) Tron Guy (Youtube), Gary Brolsma (AKA Numma numma- Youtube), Star Wars Kid (Youtube) and the list goes on (mainly because I can't think of any more off the top of my head).

    Because of Youtube, these people are now known all over the world. Is this a good thing that it has become easier to now obtain a 'celebrity' (I use the term loosely) status than ever before?

    At least they're celebrities for doing something. (Paris Hilton, I am looking at you.)
