think ive picked up some sort of virus dating agencies and various other weird ads keep popping up on fb and other websites

p.s there defiently not the usual ads on them sites

The above should get rid of it, however, you should check for browser plugins and uninstall anything that looks a bit suspicious.

Interestingly enough, the author of it claims it is "not for malicious... blah" and claims he is doing people a favor by removing other malware that is installed. I had to laugh at that...
