Just watched the first disc of the Jericho dvd today. Loved the stuff with Austin after Raw went off the air. The fun they were having was so contagious.

    Undertaker's Deadliest Matches:

    <Snip broken data URL>

Got this as a birthday present the other day, and have now watched it in full. Here are a few thoughts:

    Pros

Three discs = endless hours of action
Strong picture quality for older matches
Inclusion of Boiler Room Brawl - maybe his best match ever!
Good mix of matches between different WWE eras

    Cons

Corny Taker narrations in between matches
    Two Mabel/Daddy V matches????
    None included from 'Badass' era
    thin on extras

Summary: If you are an insane Taker fan, you probably already have this and enjoy seeing some of his lesser rememberd matches once again. If you are a lesser fan of the guy like myself - then the glaring omissions of matches like the first two HIAC's (against Shawn and Foley) are a gripe, in what does not feel like a comprehensive look of the man's career.

Also, the lack of Mania matches here is probably down to the previous release of his Mania streak DVD. Classic encounters against Mankind (96), Edge (08) and Orton (05) being included, do go some way to make up for this. Still, this would not be the definition of a 'must buy' WWE DVD.

    RATING: 3.5/5

World Wrestling Entertainment will be releasing a two-disc DVD set highlighting the legendary career of WWE Hall of Famer Bobby "The Brain" Heenan on Tuesday, December 28. Below is the title's official synopsis:

"Fans loved to boo Bobby Heenan but despite their vocal displeasure with The Weasel, everyone acknowledges he’s the greatest manager in the history of sports entertainment. He guided members of the infamous Heenan Family to great heights in both the AWA and WWE, even occasionally stepping into the ring himself. He also further cemented his place in pro wrestling lore by becoming one of the great color commentators of all time, completely earning his 2004 induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Now, for the first time ever, fans can relive the Brain’s magnificent career in Bobby The Brain Heenan, a 2-disc DVD that tells the life story of Heenan as well as collects his most famous matches, interviews, and moments."

Well the idea of this DVD was his "deadliest" matches ergo gimmick matches. The Cell matches were already on other DVDs. The best of American Bad Ass was already put on DVd - vs Brock Lesnar.

Far too many Mabel and Big Show matches!

I wouldnt even consider watching it.

Slightly off topic, but nontheless... Poundland in Belfast is selling Damage, starring Steve Austin for a quid. Dunno whether it's thus available in the south for the same...

That Heenan set should be great. Can't wait. Wouldn't touch the Undertaker one with a bag of knobs though...

Has anybody spotted the Jericho set in any shops? e.g. xtra vision or BPM?
Can't seem to find it anywhere and buying online isn't an option atm.

Hope the Goldust DVD has him talking about the "Seven" stuff from WCW. Jerry DVD long over due. Big Show DVD if it's honest and open could be intresting to hear his version/thoughts on his long career. Best of nitro should be good too.

Is it considered kosher to advertise a sale here? There's nothing in the charter I know, but is it cool with everyone? Just a few wrasslin' DVDs.

That heenan dvd looks excellent. Really varied too.
If I'm honest, I'm really looking forward to that Cen set. Some incredible matches on it.

I wonder if Heenan will explain why he tried to spoil the Hogan heel turn in 1996 with his "But which side is he on?" quote.

I know theres probably not much call for them anymore, but i'm selling loads of old wwf vhs tapes. See my ad link below. Some good old stuff (80's) there, including some i'd say are not available on DVD.

That's a nice collection you got there. I'd say the longer you hold onto these, the higher the price they will be worth.
