I imagine I would do something similar! I heard an awful loud rumble of thunder yesterday, sounded like it was directly over the house and just like how it sounds in films! :(
bricking it every time there's a downpour lately, can't remember the last time we had so much thunder storm activity. (at least here in the s.e.) Fork lightning strikes were directly overhead that day and the windows and doors shook with every one of them. The dog is traumatised too. Since the start of October there's been at least three seperate thunder events here and the last one blew out the mothers TV. I don't know how it can rain so much for so long either.

He meant it's a bank holiday in late October, which it is. Not that there's 2 bank holidays in October. You know this. He knows this. Even I know this.

Bad night out very wet and windy pity destroying the bank holiday weekend.

I'd take a year of rain in Dublin than have to spend a single night down there

Still don't see it to be honest. "Late October bank holiday weekend", a bank holiday weekend in late October. Don't see the problem with that.

Well, the bank holiday in October is *always* in late October, so what you said is either redundant or implies there's more than one.
