Was hoping someone may be able to shed some light on a problem that has appeared with my LCD TV today.

First of all, when trying to switch the TV on with the remote control, it wouldnt switch on. I tried with another remote, and that didnt work either.

Switched on fine from the TV.

Turned over SKY tv channel and the image froze (sound changed to next channel).

    Switched off and unplugged.

When I turned back on, there was a thin line of green dashes across the screen.

    Switched off and unplugged.

Turned back on now, and there is no picture, but the "No input signal" message is blurred/double vision and flickering.

    Any ideas?

how old is the tv? hopefully still in warranty, as it looks like you are going to need a replacement

TV is only 9 months old, so thankfully I'll be able to get it replaced.

Argos Ireland, where I bought it from, don't do repairs, they simply replace - which is nice, but I wouldve kind of liked to know what the problem was in the first place.

given the litany of problem you had, it sounds like a min board failure, dodgy SOC possibly
