    If you use firefox, get the following extension:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/

    It'll do the job nicely (works for almost all embedded video's, not just youtube).

    Yeah I noticed they were flv files so I got a converter that changes them to any other file format which is handy.

    Id take it over firefox anyday, i dunno call me a wierdo i just prefer it cause the only other thing ive used apart from it is netscape back when the internet was first around.

    Edit, Found a way of doing it, GOD Kingp35 thank you for coming up with this thread ive been trying to figure this out for a while now, Next item of buisness.Is there any flv to .mov converters, well .flv to anything that workds on windows media player anyway.

    That ting iddnt work for me says the url was not found.

    I have the Firefox extension installed, i just go to the page(youtube) where the vid is playing, then click the little icon on my Firefox and it says the video

    the firefox plugin doesnt work for me. i have it installed and the icon just doesnt come up. any ideas anybody??

    yeah ive done that. is it anything to do with the version your running or whatever(im using 1.0.7.) dunno why its not workin for me.

    Maybe your version is too old. The current version is 1.5.0.3 I think

    Thats probably it alright, yeah. Those extensions only work with more recent versions.

    I'm at 1.5.0.3 and it works.

    For IE, play the whole video then open up your temporary internet files (C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files) - find the (normally largest) file with a weird file name such as tfdbhxdcfb.flv and copy somewhere.
