Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.
Thanks all.

I have been informed by the Garda Commissioner that the personnel strength of An Garda Síochána on 31 January 2014, the latest date for which figures are readily available, was 13,093 (all ranks), 1,158 Garda Reserves and 2,067 civilians.

Here's where we stand with regard to numbers as of Feb 2014 . No mention of the number of GRs in training but at a guess about 140 bring the figure almost up to the maximum number of 1300
