Clio lights

Hello people, have a couple of minor lighting problems with my clio.
The headlight sidelight bulb won't work when I plug it in. I have tried various bulbs & it is not the bulb holder, it works perfect on the other side.
Also the rear parking light doesn't work. It is a double bulb with the brake light also, but the brake light part of the bulb works? again tried the working bulb from the other side, makes no difference only braking part working.. Checked wiring at the front lights can't see anything strange & I checked the earth at the rear also.
Could both problems be connected?
Both problems are on the drivers side.
Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried the fuses, it may have two separate ones for each side.If not that and you are able to work a multimeter, turn the lights on and check that there is power at each holder.
