IR extension TV / box

I am looking to store my cable box behind my tv. It is a wall mount 42" tv that is mounted over a fire place. I'd like a simple ir repeater that can feed the signal to the box and not be overly noticeable when attached to the top of the tv. Any suggestions?
Where could I get something like that? and how much would it be?

You dont say what kind of cable box is it sky ? if so have you tried a magic eye you may need to enable the power on the rf out in the sky box
    If not sky
certainly the amiko mini combo HD comes with a IR extender that plugs into the box

If you connect by HDMI, you can use an IR receiver/transmitter which piggy-backs on each end of the HDMI cable.

You can get one on Amazon.co.uk for stg£18.95 (search for Neet IR Injector)
