Any good turn-based RPG's for PS3?

Along the lines of Final Fantasy where you hit someone and numbers show, but thats just a preference. Bit of a noob when it comes to this genre but I love a good RPG. Don't mention the utter crap that was FFXIII please! I have yet to try FFXIII-2 but I was so put off by the first that I didn't get it (even though a long time FF fan). Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've just been looking up Ni no Kuni and its getting really great reviews so I might take a look at it.

If you have a PS3 and not played Valkyria Chronicles, do so! Tis great. Usually spot copies for €25 used in most Gamestops.

Ni No Kuni does look fantastic, definately the first must have game of 2013.

Also Tales of Xillia is meant to be out soon, Feb in the USA so probably soon enough here.

And if you want "you hit someone and numbers show", get Disgaea 3 or 4 (4 is the better of the two I hear), that will satisfy your lust for floating numbers for a good few lifetimes.

Yeah, now I'm certain to get Ni No Kuni. I've looked at the gameplay and it looks and feels fantastic. Can't wait to pick this up.
