Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Does anyone know where i can get PS2 mod chips fitted in Dublin.
    I don't want to open my PS2 myself.

    I was looking for a Gamecube modchip and I found this for the PS2:

    It's a USB Mod Chip for the PS2 - you don't need to open the PS2

    afaik usb modchips have a pretty bad success ratio, you're far better off getting it chipped

    You do actually have to open the ps2 and solder a wire for the USBmod.
    Apparently the messiah 2 is the bees knees.
    I thought there'ld be at least a couple of chippers in dublin

    This chipping lark seems dreadfully expensive. You'd think as the ps2 ages, they'd drop their prices!!!

    The chips aren't getting any less complex, and the procedure for wiring in a proper one is still utterly tortous and requires microsoldering gear... PS2s are always going to be very expensive to chip, simply because it's such an utter git of a procedure to carry out.
