Of the last 12 teams who were left standing last season, anyone care to guess where kildares scoring average per game ranked? As a help, Donegal were ranked 12th.

Defence is also a large part of GAA. While Kildare were scoring that much, what were they conceding?

The aim of the game is to score more than you concede if you haven't noticed and Kildare not managing that in two games that Summer and bowing out of the Championship is what matters.
Kildare were a kick of ball away from that AI FINAL vs cork the crossbar denied them. I think that in general Kildare forwards are quite good!! Do you remember that semi final? It's ridiculous to say kildares forwards are not natural ffs lol the forwards are fine footballers and if josie brolly wasn't talking crap on Sunday game about natural footballers nobody here would be quoting that same tripe!! Might I just say Brolly is a terrible analyst.

Sure Kildare forwards will show you how to do it in breffni this weekend

Kildare really are becoming the England of the GAA
Thought that was reserved for the Meath 2010 team? But this is being driven on by Meath and Dublin fans because Kildare are daring to threaten to challenge both on a yearly basis for provincial honours. And before one of you go off on a 'sure you've won nothing' rant you might want to read the post properly.

For me, he was eligible. Only McGeeney knows why he didn't play but one article I did read mentioned that McGeeney will only pick players who are fit and available for selection for a game from the Thursday before the match. How true that is I don't know to be honest but it seems a more realistic excuse for his lack of participation to me.
I guess nobody from the KCB is willing to come out and talk to the press.McGeeney and the Kildare players have only come out talking about how they think it has been unfairly dragged on and that it didn't hamper their preparation and performance in the Meath match.

I guess it is a theory that will not be proved or disproved. I feel McGeeney too would be a bit hesitant to pick him anyway. He hasn't played for Kildare and a lot of the Kildare forwards have had exposure in O Byrne Cup,league and championship. It would be pretty hard for him to pick Johnston over any of these.I feel though he will come on in the last few minutes against Cavan and if Kildare are struggling in a match in the last 15 minutes, he may roll the dice and bring him on then particularly if the forwards don;t have their shooting boots on.

I've started a new thread for this match as this 1 seems to have descended into a slagging match between a number of posters, I think it also may hold a record for the most amount of reported posts in the GAA forum history.
