We had Soundcheque for our wedding in June and they catered for everyone. Floor was full all night.

Try The Rubix band. They are fairly local too. We booked them for our next year, 26th August.

Pyramid are definitely one of the busiest wedding bands in the Galway area. Very popular, you will have a great night!! :)

We are looking for a one-man band for August 2016 in Stillorgan. Small wedding 60 people.

Something down to earth, not set on a music style. Ideally we'd like someone for the ceremony and for after dinner.
So someone with a guitar, that will stay the afternoon and sometime into the evening.

Not a giant budget either, so does someone maybe know a Pub musician that's trying to get into the wedding business? Maybe a music student that wants to try something new?

Hi, looking for a band and dj for the 2nd September 2016 in Galway. We've rang a few of the well known names in the area but they're all booked for that date. We want the standard tunes to keep the older generation happy but mainly the 80s and 90s classics.
    PM me please

How about you ask someone to do it for free for the exposure???

Even better, will you give them a special mention in your wedding blog and pass their number on to ALL your friends, that will get someone interested!!!

Maybe when you need a plumber call a carpenter and see if they will work for little money just to "try something new"?!?

Has anyone any recommendations about a band for a wedding in the Munster (specifically Limerick) area August 2017?

We're not really into the cheesy wedding songs, 1 or 2 (max) waltzes for the old timers and then that's it!

    PM if you can, thanks!

    Hi Folks,

Looking for a DJ for a wedding in Waterford in August next year. Not really looking for a "traditional" wedding music (if you know what I mean) and would like to have input into the style of music and specific song requests (nothing too alternative but not all mainstream stuff).

Off the top of my head type, set would be looking for would include:
Disco (Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang etc.)
Some Soul (Otis Redding, Al Green etc.)
Bit of 60's-70's rock (Stones, Beatles, Bowie etc.)
    Classic 90's dance
Some newer electronic music (Caribou, Laurent Garnier etc.)
And anything in between for crowd pleasers!

Any suggestions/contacts would be much appreciated...

Will also need to hire a PA system (for some family members "jamming" for half an hour before the DJ ) so if I could do so with the DJ as one package would be handy.
