Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Commuting Dublin to Jordanstown?

    I am thinking of applying for phd in Ulster (jordanstown campus) but live in dublin. Is that distance commutable does anyone know??

    Depends on how much contact you and your supervisor plan on having and how many of the resources you need that would be on campus. It's a bit of a trek if you had to do it every day.

    jordanstown is about a twenty minute drive outside the other side of belfast. your talking close to three hours each way

    i know of a few people living in belfast and commuting to dublin a few times a week because of the high cost of living down there. if you only need to be up a few times a week it is not a problem.
